Peter Pan and Wendy
14th Street Playhouse
173 14th Street Atlanta, GA 30309
In this new musical version of the Peter Pan story, Peter's not the only one who won't grow up. Wendy's having trouble coming to terms with moving out of her childhood room and putting on adult clothes when she still wants to play. She gets to put off being a grown up a while longer when the daring Peter Pan comes along to whisk her away to the magical island of Neverland, where children never grow up. With the help of Tinkerbell, the Lost Boys, Tiger Lily, mermaids, and a rather dedicated crocodile, Peter and Wendy battle the dreaded -- but extremely funny -- Captain Hook. In this swashbuckling adventure, which includes opportunities for audience participation, our heroes must decide if growing up is really all that bad after all.

"...While it’s not a total magical knockout, Synchronicity’s “Peter Pan and Wendy” makes a pleasant option for parents and kids who are either tired of, or not interested in, Christmas shows. Ticket prices are reasonable too, so you can bring a big group without busting the bank. Plus it’s at the 14th Street Playhouse, so combining the show with a trip to the museum, lunch at a Midtown restaurant or a visit to Piedmont Park would make for a nice holiday outing that doesn’t have that skin-blasting, Santa-in-flashing-lights, buy-this, buy-that, caroling, Rudolph sort of feel."
